Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood (otherwise called Al Bastakiya) is an architecturally significant area in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The development of Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood goes back to the 1890s. In its prime, the area was fit for supporting 60 lodging units, a large portion of which were isolated by restricted, winding paths.

In the 1980s portion of the Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood town was obliterated to clear a path for the advancement of another office complex. The rest of the houses were for the most part utilized as distribution centers or settlement for outside workers. In 1989 Dubai Municipality coordinated that the rest of the parts of Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood were to be annihilated. Rayner Otter, a British modeler, went to the region and made broad remodel in the house where he was remaining. Rayner began a crusade to save the range, and composed a letter to Prince Charles who was booked to visit Dubai that year. On his entry Prince Charles made a request to visit Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood, and investigated the entire range with Rayner Otter. Amid his visit Prince proposed that Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood ought to be safeguarded and the devastation of Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood was wiped out.

In 2005 a venture was started by Dubai Municipality to reestablish the territory's of old structures and paths.
